Your Role |
The Maintenance Instrumentation Coordinator role will support the Maintenance Manager with job responsibilites focused in project development and management, support, training and development, and other special projects. |

Responsibilities |
Project Development and Management
- Set clear goals and execute against those goals.
- Develops projects as assigned from inception through completion involving the following major areas: design, purchasing, contracting, implementation, cost control, schedule control and follow up.
- Coordinate training, evaluation of work and staffing requirements for all functions within span of control.
- Designs and builds electrical equipment, facilities, and components such as PLC programming, electrical panels, run conduit, pull wires, labeling, etc.
- Provides accurate cost and technical information to aid in evaluating alternatives and making cost effective decisions.
- Responsible for contracting and purchasing items necessary for implementation of assigned projects.
- Uses computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform tasks
Special Projects, Continuous Improvement
- Work closely with corporate Engineering Associates on Control, Information, and Electrical Projects.
- Direct contractors and maintenance Associates in the implementation, improvement, and maintenance of Control, Information, and Electrical systems.
- Designs and directs maintenance Associates in fabrication and test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods, procedures, and conditions for testing.
- Provides input into corporate direction regarding improvement of plant operations utilizing Control, Information, and Electrical systems.
Support, Training and Development
- Provides facility-specific support to operations and maintenance Associates on Control, Information, and Electrical systems to include training, mentoring, and consultation.
- The Associate will be responsible for supervising and controlling work done by contractors and equipment suppliers. The Associate will be responsible for interface and communications with other Grande Associates during implementation, development, and follow-through of projects.

- Follows all safety policies and procedures in conformance with OSHA requirements. Identify and communicate hazards to manager.
- Responsible for keeping PLC documentation updated and stored properly.
- Responsible for keeping electrical drawing documentation up to date. Work with maintenance team leaders and maintenance associates to keep current on changes and follow up to ensure documentation is accurate
Job Skills Requirements
- Strong math skills
- Strong problem solving skills
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office and CMMS
- Strong electrical concepts (demonstrated knowledge of control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, transducers, machines, etc.)
- Demonstrated knowledge of PLC program editing
Strong mechanical knowledge (machine guarding, drive belt installation & alignment, seal replacements, etc.)
- Strong pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.)
- Working knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC
- Must have an understanding and a proven working knowledge of electrical, electronic, component control, pneumatic, and hydraulic concepts, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Must have significant experience with: various brands of PLCs including installations, troubleshooting, and communication networks; design and implementation of Control and Instrumentation Systems based upon PLCs, PCs, pneumatics, and discrete component controls; and pc communications including LANs, industrial operator interfaces, hardware and dedicated devices, and specific software systems

Qualifications |
- Two year degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training
